The Craft Glass Company ‘Glass House Sugahara’ opened the new institution ‘GHS Plus’ for dealing with its exclusive products, such as tablewares for cafes and restaurants, and architectural materials made from craft glass. The posters were designed for the shop and the exhibition hall opening.
As the institution was specially established for professionals and its concept was original and innovative, the graphics had to be designed in a particuliar way. Moreover, the client already had the usual glassware shops, so the GHS Plus’s images had to be distinctive and different from the previous ones.
So I decided that, instead of showing the glass itself, I would express the concept of GHS Plus through packing and cushioning materials. Then to put across the new name, a large ‘+’ is shown in the centre.
