「mt ex展」の2年に一度の総まとめ「mt 博 ― mt expo 2013」を東京・月島で開催しました。mtの豊富なラインナップを伝える様々な色柄のテープを隈無く貼ったギャラリーにテープを貼ったミニクーパー、タイのタクシー‘トゥクトゥク’を展示しました。これらの乗り物は展示の顔として、バイラルに広がるアイコンとして貢献しました。他にもmtの誕生からこれまでに至る経緯をライティングボックスに納め展示したインスタレーションや、製造工場から運び込んだmtを製造する機械で製造過程を披露したり、限定テープが購入できるショップを開くなど、mtの魅力を様々な側面から伝える展示会に仕立てました。
Washi Tape’s promotional exhibition ‘mt expo’ was held in a massive gallery in Tokyo. In order to show the new collection effectively, I designed to cover every wall and the floor by them. Then I divided the space into 6 rooms such as 2 shops, a room for the lottery, a room for the installation, a room for customers can try the tapes freely and a room for the ‘mt’ decorated vehicles. 2 shops dealt with different kind of tapes. The decorated vehicles, Mini Cooper, tuku-tuku and the bike, those were the icons of this event, were shot by the customers and spread across the Web virally. In the installation room, many boxes with a light, in where I placed things associated with ‘mt’, were hanged from the ceiling. Beyond expectation, so many customers visited the event and it succeeded to show ‘mt’ appeal.
